Products/services that I personally use, and highly recommend.
I rave about them all the time, so when I found out I could become an affiliate partner* with these two amazing companies, I jumped at the chance. Here's why:
Berkey Water Filter System: "Berkey filters started serving water filter customers in the late 1990's. We started as a small family operated business in a farming community just East of Pueblo, Colorado."
Why I love them: It's a small family business, they are eco friendly because the filters last years, and the quality is great! This is more than just another filter, it purifies water. You can learn more from the pros themselves.
My Berkey Water Filter is one of the few products I gush about, because admittedly, I'm a water snob. Ever since I was a little girl, my favorite thing to drink was water. As I've grown into a woman, this love of H2O has driven me to try a number of water filters. From what I have tried so far, Berkey Water Filter System is my preferred brand. Aside from all the great info on their site, this is what really sold me on it:
When I got my Berkey Light (we choose this one, but there are several options), I put it together in a few minutes. To ensure that it's water tight, you are supposed to put red dye in the top, and the water comes out clear below. I was shocked! Can it really remove red dye out of the water?
Yes. It. Can!
Red water above came out crystal clear below. It freakin filtered red dye! I felt like a little kid seeing a magic show for the first time. Mind Blown!
As far as I understand, you can take dirty river water, run it through this thing, and drink it... it's pretty spectacular! Ok, I'll stop gushing now. What can I say? I really love my water.
Thrive Market - "Thrive Market is the first socially conscious online store offering the world's best-selling natural and organic products at wholesale prices."
Why I love them: If Costco and Whole Foods had a love child, it would be Thrive Market. This company is providing access to natural, organic foods and products in food deserts where people have limited access to these goods. In a recent blog post, they shared how their mission has helped the Pine Ridge Reservation - one of the most impoverished communities in America and home of the Lakota Sioux Nation - gain access to healthier options. They, and others, benefit from the Thrive Gives one-for-one model, meaning that for every membership purchased, one is donated to a family in need.
Their customer service is awesome, and I've saved a ton of money on pantry staples, soaps/detergent, beauty products and more. If their social mission and discounted wholesome products don't impress you, maybe their free shipping policy will. Try it yourself risk free for the first month. At the very least, check them out.
As of Sept 2016, I've saved almost $1000 with Thrive ($981.74 to be exact). It really adds up in a year! Plus I save money on gas and kitty toys.
My favorite way to read books, with my ears. Since I've downloaded Audible, I've listened to at least one book a month. Good, long books. It would take me months to have read each of them. But with Audible, I can listen while I drive, walk, or wash the dishes. I simply love it! Try it out for 30 days. If you likes, it's only $14.95 per month for any book. ANY book. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
